Meet Merle. He's a resident at SLO North County Humane Society and looking for a permanent home. His fur was very matted when he arrived at the shelter, so the big guy has been clipped with a "lion cut".
This is a cat with attitude, dude! Wanna wrestle? Wanna box? Wanna chase a ping pong ball or a shoe lace? He's all for it, but he can also be a sweetie with a great loud purr.
Looking for a bulldog, but want a cat instead - adopt Merle!

Chasing Grace
Clippity clippity clippity clippity clippity bound leap thud OOOF ...
5am. As usual, cats woke me this morning. Chasing Gracie again. It starts with the loud clippity sound of toe nails dashing along wood floored hallways, then a leap up to the bed and an (un)expected pounce on my stomach. Ooof! Drowsing I was, now I'm wide awake. Gracie, the chasee, snuggles up to my left side, seeking safety, while the chasers, Munchkin and Pixie, gloat over waking me suddenly. Pixel makes amends by cuddling on my right; Munchkin is unapologetic and clippity clips back down the hallway toward breakfast - he knows that I'm awake, and my first chore is to fill catfood bowls. TC, the big guy, meows by the back door - out, please - its his time to chases greeblings, or that pesky blue jay in the backyard. OK, I'm now awake AND up, and so starts another (typical) morning.
Note on Gracie's long ear fuzz - Those aren't "tufted ears". Ear tufts are on the TIPS of the ears not inside them. What you're seeing is what's called "ear furnishings". Cats with longer fur tend to have longer ear furnishings. Nice furnishings, Gracie!
