Almost Spring

It is starting to look like spring around SLO county.  We really need more rain to bring out the spring wildflowers, though.

I spend the Monday holiday on the coast near Cambria and took advantage of some high clouds to photograph the Santa Lucia range behind Cambria and San Simeon. I wanted the photos to look more like water color paintings, so I processed them through a photo painting program. I like the final results.

I made the first trip of the year Sunday out to Eastern San Luis Obispo county in search of wildflowers. I found 1 tidy tip, and a few baby blue eyes. But mostly dry conditions and blue skies Just sittin' here hoping and waiting for the rain to come.
