Photos at the Morro Bay Museum

The Morro Bay Museum of Natural History is hosting a photo show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the museum.  Located in the Morro Bay State Park, the museum has a variety of family friendly exhibits on Morro Bay area wildlife, ecology and history.  You can read more about the museum at the Central Coast State Parks Association web site  http://www.ccnha.org/morrobay/index.html.

The photo exhibit, titled Golden Treasures in honor of the golden anniversary, features over 50 photographs by local photographers, and all of the photos are taken within 5 miles of Morro Bay.  Photographs include wildlife and scenic nature pictures, all with a common "golden color" theme.  The exhibit runs May 12 through July 25 in the museum activity room.

The  photo below is one of several of mine on display.  It was taken at Morro Strand State Beach during a fall extreme low tide that coincided with sunset.

You can view a preview of the show at  http://www.flickr.com/groups/50th_museum_anniversary/
